Boy, 10, Dies After Clinton Crash: Police

A 10-year-old boy died after a Clinton crash, police said. The adult driver is still in the hospital, officers added.

CLINTON, MD β€” Police said a 10-year-old boy died Friday after a Prince George's County crash. Officers identified the victim as Pedro Gutierrez Gonzales of Clinton.

The single-vehicle accident happened on Aug. 30 around 12:50 p.m., authorities noted. Gonzales was riding with an adult driver on southbound Piscataway Road approaching Mary Catherine Drive when the vehicle left the roadway and hit a tree, an incident report added.

The write-up mentioned that both occupants went to unnamed hospitals. The press release explained that the driver is still hospitalized, but they are in stable condition.

Detectives informed that they are investigating the cause of the Clinton wreck.
