California Man Faces Murder Charges In Landover Resident's Death: Prince George's Police
A California man has been charged in connection with the murder of a Landover man's death last month, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The suspect wanted for a recent homicide in Landover has been taken into custody. Christopher Allen Brown, Jr., 23, of San Francisco, California has been charged in connection with the murder of 44-year-old Dameon Broadus of Landover.
On Aug. 25 at approximately 3:40 p.m., patrol officers were called to the 3200 block of 75th Avenue for a welfare check. Officers discovered Broadus in his apartment with trauma to the body. He was pronounced dead on the scene. An autopsy determined the cause of death was sharp force trauma and the manner a homicide.
The preliminary investigation revealed Brown and Broadus knew each other. A motive for the killing remains under investigation.

Following the murder, Brown fled the area. With the assistance of the San Francisco Police Department as well as the U.S. Marshals Service, Brown was taken into custody in San Francisco on Tuesday. He remains in custody there pending extradition to Prince George’s County. He has been charged with first-degree murder and related charges.
