Crash Claims Life Of DC Man, Prince George's Police Seek Information
A Washington, D.C., man died more than a week after he was involved in a car crash. Police ask for the public's help in their investigation.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Officers are investigating a fatal collision that happened in late December in Glenarden in which 46-year-old Anson Derrington of Washington, D.C., was seriously injured. Derrington later died of his injuries Jan. 6.
On Dec. 27, 2022, at approximately 6 p.m., officers responded to the intersection of Brightseat Road and Mclain Avenue for a crash involving two vehicles. A preliminary investigation revealed Derrington was traveling southbound on Brightseat Road when for reasons that remain under investigation, his pickup truck crossed the double yellow lines, struck another vehicle and hit a utility pole, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
