"I am so excited to be singing the National Anthem for Crofton Night again this year! I am very passionate about the CRCC and the Crofton community. Being invited to sing our National Anthem for such a wonderful event is truly an honor. I'm really looking forward to it!" Forrest said in a press release.

"Singing a capella doesn't really make me nervous. I enjoy singing all different styles of music and I grew up singing in choirs so I'm pretty comfortable with it. Singing without accompaniment really allows me to be a little more free and soulful with the melody as well. It's actually one of my favorite styles!" The singer added in the same release.

Crofton Night is a fundraiser to help fund the CRCC. Plans for the center come at a time when community leaders say crime is seeping into the suburbs and young people are looking for safe places to get together.
