D.C. Man Found With Meth Faces Multiple Drug Charges: Prince George's County Police
A Washington, D.C., man was found with meth on him after he'd been taken to the Prince George's County detention center for a warrant.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 33-year-old Washington, D.C., man has been charged with multiple drug offenses after he was stopped for speeding and officers found meth in his possession, authorities said.
Jamal Hykeem Matthis was arrested by Maryland State Police during a traffic stop March 27 in Prince George's County.
At about 11:10 a.m. March 27, a trooper from the Forrestville Barrack stopped a vehicle for speeding in the area of the 10500 block of Campus Way in Largo. The driver, later identified as Matthis, had an outstanding warrant through the Prince George’s County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

After Matthis had been taken to the detention center, the trooper found 135 grams of suspected methamphetamine on him, the police department reported.
He is charged with drug possession, possession of drug contraband and possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance.
