Daughter Fatally Shot, Dad Wounded In Domestic Altercation: Prince George's County Police
A 17-year-old girl was found fatally shot inside her home and her father with life-threatening gunshot wounds, according to police.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 17-year-old girl died in a shooting with her father.
On May 10 shortly after 9:30 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting in the 1800 block of Tanow Place. Nia Johnson, 17, from District Heights was found inside a home with gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead a short time later at the hospital.
Her father also was found shot inside the home with life-threatening injuries, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

The fatal shooting has been considered a domestic incident, police noted.
Detectives are working to determine the motive as well as the shooterin the case. WTOP reported
police do not believe there are any outstanding suspects.
