DC Man Dies in Fort Washington Motorcycle Crash

Prince George's County Police are trying to determine why the bike veered into the path of an SUV.

Investigators are trying to determine why a Washington, D.C., man’s motorcycle veered into the path of a sport utility vehicle, causing a fatal accident.

The Prince George’s County Police Department says the deadly crash was reported about 6:10 p.m. Monday in the 9300 block of Allentown Road in Fort Washington. The victim is Furron Spivey, 26, of Evarts Street in Northeast Washington.

When officers arrived, they found Spivey, suffering from critical injuries. He was pronounced dead at an area hospital.

Investigators say Spivey’s motorcycle was heading northbound on Allentown Road when it crossed into the southbound lane and struck the SUV. Authorities have not released the name of the SUV driver.
