DC Man Dies Nearly 15 Months Later After Being Hit By Vehicle In Temple Hills

A Washington, D.C., man who was hit by a vehicle in Temple Hills in October 2024 has died. The incident is being investigated, police say.

TEMPLE HILLS, MD — A Washington, D.C., man has died nearly 15 months after he was hit by a vehicle in the 3100 block of Branch Avenue.

On Oct. 24, 2024, around 11 p.m., Prince George's police officers were called to the area of Branch Avenue for a report of a person who had been hit by a vehicle. They found 41-year-old Kelvin Eugene Jackson in the road. He was taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries, according to the police department.

Jackson died Jan. 11.

The preliminary investigation indicates that Jackson was attempting to cross Branch Avenue when, for reasons now being investigated, he was hit by a vehicle traveling northbound towards Suitland Parkway. The driver, who wasn't injured, remained at the scene.
