Dog Stuck In Well For 2 Days Saved By Prince George's Firefighter
A small dog named "Chippy" was stuck in a well for two days. Prince George's County firefighters saved the dog, hoisting him to safety.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George's County Fire Department saved a life this weekend, but instead of saying "Thank you," the victim said "Woof!" That's because the patient has four legs instead of two.
Firefighters rescued "Chippy" this Saturday. The small dog fell down an old well in the 7400 block of Marlboro Pike in District Heights. Upon arrival, the crew learned that Chippy had been stuck in the 25-foot-deep hole for two days.
The firefighters initially tried to hoist Chippy up, but that didn't work. One crew member suited up with an oxygen tank and descended into the well.

Meet Chippy ... the pup we worked so hard to rescue today after he spent two days at the bottom of a 25-foot deep old well in District Heights. We are #PGFD proud to report, we have a happy ending. pic.twitter.com/yykTev8dRz
