Temple Solel Cabaret Night

Bowie, MD --  Temple
Solel
in Bowie will hold its annual Cabaret
Night
Saturday night May 12, at 8
p.m
., the 12th year for this event.  This year’s Cabaret will feature a
selection of some of the most memorable standards of the 1920s and 1930s by Jazz
Age composers such as Duke Ellington, Richard Rodgers & Lorenz Hart , and
Johnny Mercer, a selection of songs from the Rodgers & Hammerstein classic
musical Oklahoma, and a special segment of  music to honor our military.

 

         The show, which features the Temple
Solel Choir under the direction of Dr. Norman Lieberman, is held at the temple,
at 2901 Mitchellville Road, in Bowie.

       As always, there will be delicious
snacks and desserts, beer, wine and soft drinks, as the temple’s largest room
is turned into a dazzling, hopping nightspot for one night only. All food will
be served in the social hall beginning at 7:30 p.m., and desserts will be
served at intermission. Admission is just $20 per person; all food and drink
are included in the admission price. The
doors to the temple will open at 7:30 p.m., and the show starts at 8 p.m.
