Fatal Car Crash Claims The Life Of 20-Year-Old On Good Luck Road: Police

A 20-year-old lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center double yellow line before hitting a minivan head-on, police say.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A fatal collision in New Carrollton has claimed the life of 20-year-old Chris Brian Orellana of Lanham. On Tuesday shortly after 8:30 p.m., Prince George's County police officers responded to a two-car crash in the 7300 block of Good Luck Road.

The preliminary investigation reveals Orellana was driving eastbound on Good Luck Road, when for reasons that are under investigation, he lost control of his vehicle and crossed the center double yellow line then struck a minivan travelling westbound on Good Luck Road. Orellana was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to the police department.

The driver and passengers of the van were taken to the hospital with what appeared to be non-life threatening injuries.
