Fatal Hit-And-Run Case From Aug. 20 Under Investigation: Prince George's Police

A person was fatally hit by a vehicle that did not remain on the scene Aug. 20. The Prince George's Police Department is investigating.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The Prince George's County Police Department's investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run that happened in Adelphi Aug. 20 around 3:15 a.m.

The victim was found in the road in the 2000 block of University Boulevard.

A preliminary investigation showed the victim was hit by a vehicle and killed. The driver who hit the victim did not remain on the scene. Investigators are actively working to identify the driver and locate the involved vehicle, the police department stated.
