Fatal Hit-And-Run Prompts Prince George's Police To Ask Community For Help

Prince George's Police have identified the vehicle that hit and killed a motorcyclist and left the scene, but not the driver yet.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A fatal hit-and-run claimed the life of 58-year-old Muhammad Salim of Washington, D.C., early Wednesday morning in Upper Marlboro.

Officers were called to the 10000 block of Frank Tippet Road at about 4:30 a.m. They found Salim, who had been driving a motorcycle, unresponsive on the side of the road. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

A preliminary investigation shows an unidentified driver collided with the motorcycle in the eastbound lanes. The involved driver did not stay on scene, the police department shared. The involved vehicle has been found and efforts are underway to identify the driver.
