Fatal Shooting Of 19-Year-Old Leads To Arrest Of D.C. Man: Prince George's Police
A Washington, D.C., has been arrested in connection to the fatal shooting of a 19-year-old D.C. man that happened in Fort Washington.
FORT WASINGTON, MD — A 45-year-old Washington, D.C., has been charged in connection to the fatal shooting of 19-year-old David Frye of Washington, D.C., that happened in Fort Washington.
On May 15 at approximately 6:40 a.m., Maryland-National Capital Park Police and PGPD officers responded to a park in the 11900 block of Autumnwood Lane for a report of an unconscious man. When they arrived on the scene, officers found Frye with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
During the investigation, detectives identified 45-year-old Monte Brown Jr. as the suspect. The fugitive unit tracked him down and took him into custody Thursday. The victim and suspect knew each other but the motive for the fatal shooting continues to be investigated.

Brown has been charged with first- and second-degree murder and related charges.
