Fire Damages Maryland Comptroller's Office in Greenbelt
Firefighters were able to knock it down quickly, but not before it caused some significant damage on the first and second floors.

GREENBELT, MD — A fire heavily damaged some offices at the new Maryland Comptroller's Office in Greenbelt over the weekend.
Prince George's County firefighters responded to an office building fire in Greenbelt at around 6 p.m. on May 6, and quickly knocked the fire down, but not before it caused some damage. No one was injured.
The five-story office building is located 6401 Golden Triangle Drive. Heavy smoke was showing with fire on the first floor when firefighters arrived, and the fire extended to the second floor.
