How Many Coronavirus Cases Does Prince George's County Have?
Prince George's County continues to have the most coronavirus cases in the state. Check how many cases your ZIP code has.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Prince George's County now has 19,956 cases of coronavirus, according to the Maryland Department of Health. The county's death toll has reached 692, up 12 from Friday.
More than 13.2 million people around the world have been infected by coronavirus. Global deaths from the virus total more than 575,000, according to Johns Hopkins University. In the United States, 3.4 million people have been infected, and more than 136,000 have died from coronavirus.
Prince George's County still has the most confirmed coronavirus cases in the state, according to the latest data from the Maryland Department of Health. Montgomery County has the second most, with a total of 15,883 positive cases. Montgomery County, however, has more coronavirus-related deaths than Prince George's County with 724 deaths as of Tuesday morning. The state says 3,202 Marylanders have died because of coronavirus.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advises doing the following to slow the spread of coronavirus:

- Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds. If this is not available, use hand sanitizer that is at least 60 percent alcohol.
- Clean and disinfect frequently touched objects and surfaces.
- Keep 6 feet of space between people.
- Stay home.
- Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
The CDC lists these as symptoms of coronavirus:
- Fever or chills
- Cough
- Shortness of breath or difficulty breathing
- Fatigue
- Muscle or body aches
- Headache
- New loss of taste or smell
- Sore throat
- Congestion or runny nose
- Nausea or vomiting
- Diarrhea
