Huge Uproar After Racial Slur At Gas Station In Largo: Report

LARGO, MD -- A gas station employee has been fired after hurling a racial slur at a customer who accused him of overcharging her brother, according to a report.

WJLA reports that Prince George's County resident Rachel Sherman confronted the person doing state vehicle inspections at a BP service station in Largo last Thursday after she says he tried to charge her brother $100 in cash to have a vehicle reinspected. A vehicle inspection is normally about $30.

“And as I turned to walk away, his exact words to me were ‘And we usually charge ******* more,'" Sherman said, according to the report.

Sherman documented her experience on video and shared it on Facebook. The video has been viewed more than half a million times, according to WJLA.

The BP station's owner confirmed to WJLA that the employee had been fired, and the employee and another man apologized to Sherman.
