Hyattsville Man Faces Murder Charges In 2 Men's Deaths: Police
A 22-year-old Hyattsville man faces murder charges after police say he fatally shot two men in Washington, D.C.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 22-year-old Hyattsville man has been arrested in connection to two homicides that happened in Washington, D.C., in 2021 and 2022.
On Monday, members of the Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force located and arrested 22-year-old Corde Fitzhugh-Clingman. He has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder while armed - felony murder in connection to the shooting deaths of two men.
On July 8, 2021, at approximately 9 p.m., Prince George’s County Fire and EMS personnel responded to the 3300 block of Southern Avenue Southeast for the report of an overturned vehicle. They found a man inside the vehicle with gunshot wounds. That man, 24 year-old Muntsier Sharfi, of Bristow, Virg., was pronounced dead on the scene.

On April 25, 2022, at approximately 11:35 p.m., members of the Fourth District were called to the 5000 block of South Dakota Avenue, Northeast, for a report of a traffic accident and a shooting. They found the driver of a vehicle with a gunshot wound. Zekariya Elmi, 26, of Alexandria, Virg., was taken to the hospital where he died.
