Landover Woman Killed In Multi-Vehicle Crash On Landover Road: Prince George's Police
A 64-year-old woman was killed when her vehicle was rear-ended, causing a chain reaction of crashes with 3 other vehicles, police say.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 64-year-old Landover woman has died in a multi-vehicle car crash that happened Wednesday around 12:30 p.m.
Police officers were called to the the area of Landover Road and Fire House Road for a collision involving five vehicles. Officers found Kerris Jennings unresponsive in her car. She was taken to a hospital where she was pronounced dead a short time later, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.
The preliminary investigation revealed the drivers of the five involved vehicles were all traveling northbound on Landover Road approaching a red light. For reasons now under investigation, one of the drivers rear ended Jennings' car causing a chain reaction of collisions with three other vehicles. The four other involved drivers and passengers inside of their vehicles suffered what are believed to be minor injuries, the police department stated.
