Local Author and Musician Bring Smiling Faces to Charter Senior Living

Award-winning, local children's author, Cindy Freland, and musician, Cris Neish, entertained the residents and employees of Charter Senior Living in Bowie, on July 21. Cindy is the author of 15 children's books about the animals of the Chesapeake Bay for children 3-8 years old. Cris is the creator of songs about the animals of the Bay, the Navy, his wife and her service dog, and many other topics. 22 elderly facility residents and several employees enjoyed our story time, self-publishing presentation, dancing and singing to songs.

Cris will be the guest on the NEW public access show, Chesapeake Bay Adventures, for children 3-8 years old. The topics will be jellyfish and music. The monthly shows will be on YouTube, Comcast, and Verizon. Guests are local experts, authors, and entertainers.

Find Cindy Freland selling autographed children's books and small original paintings at the Bowie Farmer's Market every other Sunday, 9am-1pm. She will be there on August 2, 16, and 30. The market is located at Bowie High School parking lot, 15200 Annapolis Road, Bowie, MD. FREE admission and 40 vendors selling fruits, vegetables, baked goods, meats, eggs, microgreens, coffee, prepared foods, plants, cut flowers, and crafts.
