Man Arrested After Robbery Turns to Murder in Seat Pleasant: Police
Police say he shot a man to death in a brutal robbery attempt.

SEAT PLEASANT, MD — Police have arrested a man in connection with an August murder after a robbery turned into murder in Seat Pleasant, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.
Police arrested Master Matthew-Wayne Thomas, 30, of Capitol Heights on charges of gunning down 37-year-old Oscar Colindres Garcia in the 7200 block of Joplin Street shortly before midnight on Aug. 17, the report states.
Police say they found Garcia in his car outside of his home suffering from a gunshot wound on that night. He died several hours later. Police believe the motive in the shooting was robbery.

Thomas faces charges of first and second degree murder. He is in the custody of the D.C. Department of Corrections, and is awaiting extradition to Prince George's County.
