Man Charged In 19-Year-Old's Stabbing Death: Prince George's Police

A 65-year-old Hyattsville man faces charges in the fatal stabbing of a 19-year-old Bladensburg man, according to police.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A 65-year-old Hyattsville man has been charged in connection to the murder of 19-year-old Therry Buhdeng of Bladensburg.

According to the Prince George's County Police Department, on Nov. 16 at approximately 11:45 a.m., officers with the Hyattsville City Police Department responded to the 4600 block of Baltimore Avenue for a report of a stabbing. Officers found Buhdeng with a stab wound. He was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead Dec. 1.

Detectives developed Rasheed Anwar as the suspect but the motive for the fatal stabbing remains under investigation. It does not appear Anwar and Buhdeng were known to each other, according to the police department.

Anwar has been charged with first- and second-degree murder.
