Police say the suspect got into an argument before fatally shooting two victims, one of whom has died.

CAMP SPRINGS, MD -- Police have arrested a man on charges of fatally shooting his stepdaughter's father in Camp Springs this weekend.

Police responded to the 6200 block of Maxwell Drive at around 12:50 a.m. on June 2 to a report of a shooting, and found 35-year-old Damon Palmer of D.C. suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department. Palmer was pronounced dead on the scene, and a second victim was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

Police believe 38-year-old Marcus Burns, who lived at the address and is the stepfather of Palmer's biological daughter, shot Palmer and the second victim during an argument, according to the report. Police say Burns has admitted to shooting them.
