Police located the crime scene, but not the victim. A few minutes later, officers learned a relative had driven Weeks to the nearby Maryland State Police Barrack in Forestville for help. He was rushed to a hospital, where he died a short time later.

Detectives believe Weeks was outside his home when he argued with the suspect. During that argument, the suspect stabbed Weeks. Police say the fight does not appear to be a random act.
