High School Student Stabbed in Fight: Police

A fight between two students at Frederick Douglass High School resulted in minor injuries, according to Prince George's County Police.

A boy was stabbed with a pocketknife Tuesday morning during a fight between two students at Frederick Douglass High School in Upper Marlboro, according to Prince George’s County Schools officials.

A fight was reported to Prince George’s County Police about 7:40 a.m. at the school, 8000 Croom Road. WUSA reports one student stabbed another teen. The victim, a 16-year-old boy, was taken to an area hospital with minor injuries, police said.

The 14-year-old suspect, also a Frederick Douglass student, also was taken to a hospital for minor injuries. He’s facing charges as a juvenile, authorities said.

NBC Washington reports the victim was stabbed in the upper body.
