MD-295 Road Rage Shooting Suspect Sought By Maryland State Police

A driver heading north on MD-295 Friday was shot in the stomach in an apparent road rage incident. Police are searching for the suspect.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Maryland State Police are searching for a silver Volkswagen 4-door sedan with tinted windows they believe was involved in a road rage shooting Friday in Prince George's County shortly before 10:30 p.m.

According to the Maryland State Police, the victim was traveling southbound in a black Hyundai Sonata sedan on MD-295 near the ramps to northbound I-495, National Harbor, and southbound I-495. The suspect pulled out a gun and fired one shot through the victim's front windshield, hitting the driver in the stomach. The passenger was unharmed.

The victim was taken to Inova hospital in Fairfax, Virginia, for treatment.
