CAPITOL HEIGHTS, MD — Two suspects wanted in the fatal shooting of a tire shop employee Sept. 14 have been arrested.
On Sept. 14 around 6:30 a.m., Prince George's Police were asked to conduct a welfare check at a tire shop located in the 1200 block of Marblewood Avenue. Officers found tire shop employee, 41-year-old Anthony Okoye of Bladensburg, with gunshot wounds. He was taken to the hospital where he later died, according to the police department.
A tip sent to Prince George's County Crime Solvers led detectives to arrest 43-year-old Ronnell Hardy of Capitol Heights and 42-year-old Avery Eccles of Upper Marlboro. The preliminary investigation revealed the suspects were customers at the business and shot Okoye during an argument about paying for tires, according to police.
