Murder Suspect Nabbed on Metrobus: Police
A Forestville man wanted for the murder of a Temple Hills man was spotted by a Prince George's County school resource officer and arrested.
Temple Hills, MD — A school resource officer spotted a suspect wanted for murder and trailed him to a Metrobus before he was taken into custody, officials say.
The Prince George's County Police officer spotted Jamual Toye, 21, of Silver Hill Court in Forestville, as he was walking toward a shopping center about 8 a.m. Tuesday in the 7000 block of Allentown Road. An arrest warrant had been issued for Toye in the May 16 fatal shooting of Timothy Turner, 24, on Allentown Road.
The school resource officer, Corporal Myron Young, was in his cruiser when he first saw Toye. He called for backup officers while watching the suspect. Moments later, Toye boarded a Metrobus, which Young and other officers followed before pulling it over. When Young and another officer boarded the bus, police say Toye threw a drink at Young and jumped off the bus. Toye reportedly tossed a gun before being taken into custody by another officer in the 3400 block of Brinkley Road.
