PHOTO: Poms Dance Team Represents Bowie High at Championship
The team was named Dance Grand Champions for their jazz routine at the Coastal Maryland State Cheer and Dance Championship and will compete in the U.S. Finals.

The Poms Dance Team started their season by competing at the Coastal Maryland State Cheer and Dance Championship in Baltimore on Sunday night. The girls earned first place for their jazz routine, first place for their kick routine, and second place for their lyrical routine. The girls were also named Dance Grand Champions for their jazz routine, which earned the highest score out of all dance routines. The girls also earned a full, free (paid) bid to the U.S. Finals for their jazz routine.
Team members include: Delila Angulo, Tyler Barton, Ida Glaze, Kenyetta Hudson, Tiffani Jackson, Tierra Mathis, Jasmine Morales (co-captain), Melena Murphy (co-captain), Nykia Shepard, Cesi Taboada, Kacey Talbot (captain), Jahel Turner and Special Wade.
