Photo Gallery: Bowie Commemorates 9/11 Anniversary with Concert

A concert of patriotic music marked the anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 and honored those who died.

The City of Bowie commemorated the 10th anniversary of Sept. 11, 2001 with a concert of patriotic music at the Bowie Senior Center on Sunday night.

The concert, originally planned for the Robert V. Setera Aphitheater at Allen Pond Park, was moved to the indoor location after heavy rains soaked the park last week.

The U.S. Naval Academy Concert Band performed at the event, which also featured a photo slide show and a visit from Bowie Volunteer Fire Department tower trucks 39 and 43, which were used by responders at the World Trade Center.
