Police Arrest 2 Men Suspected In Oxon Hill Slaying

The arrests were made in connection with the shooting death of Rodney Snowden back in May.

OXON HILL, MD -- Police have arrested two suspects in connection with a fatal shooting in Oxon Hill back on May 20.

Police were called to the 5600 block of Saint Barnabas Road at 7:25 p.m. on that date to a report of a shooting, and found 28-year-old Rodney Snowden suffering from gunshot wounds, according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

Snowden later died at the hospital. A second shooting victim was treated at the hospital.

Police announced Wednesday they had arrested 21-year-old Kyree Demarco Williams of Oxon Hill nad 22-year-old Marcus Heckstall of District Heights in connection with the slaying.

"The preliminary investigation reveals the fatal shooting stemmed from a dispute between Williams and the victim," the report states. "They were acquaintances. Both Williams and Heckstall are charged with first and second degree murder and related charges. They are in custody of the Department of Corrections on a no-bond status."
