Police Ask For Help In Bladensburg Killing

A 17-year-old was shot and killed last month, and police have released pictures of items taken from him.

BLADENSBURG, MD -- A teen was fatally shot in Bladensburg last month, and police are releasing pictures of items that were stolen from him in the hopes that someone will recognize them and turn in his killer.

Bryan Alvarado-Esquivel, 17, of Northwest D.C. was shot and killed June 18 in the 5300 block of Varnum Street shortly before 2 p.m., according to a report from the Prince George's County Police Department.

The teen was found outside suffering from gunshot wounds, and he was pronounced dead at the hospital.

"The suspect stole several of Bryan’s personal items following the shooting – including the above pictured Gucci belt and watch. A necklace was also taken," the report states. "The suspect was seen running from the area wearing this type of distinctive blue tennis shoes. He was also wearing light blue jeans and a black tank top. The suspect is described as an African American male, approximately 20 years old, about 5’2” with shoulder-length dreadlocks or braids."

Police are offering a reward of up to $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and indictment in the case.
