Police Charge Suspect with Murder in Bowie Shooting
A 22-year-old Bowie man has been arrested after police say a dispute led to the shooting death of Devante King.

A Bowie man has been charged with first-degree murder after Devante Marcus King died from multiple gunshot wounds in the city’s first homicide of the year, according to police.
The Prince George’s County Police Department arrested Robert Anthony Myers, 22, of the 14500 block of London Lane at his home late Thursday night.
Myers and the victim were acquaintances. Police say it appears the shooting stemmed from a dispute between the two men.

The 18-year-old victim lived on Eighth Street in Bowie. King was found in a backyard in the 13000 block of Sixth Street in Old Bowie after 1 a.m. Thursday, according to WTOP.

Bowie Police found King suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George’s County Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.
A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case, police say.
Authorities are searching for three suspects in the case. They are described as black men, one of the suspects is about 6’ 3” and weighs 200 pounds with dreadlocks; a second is 5’8” and 170 pounds with dreadlocks; and the third was dressed all in black.
