UPDATE: Police Identify Bowie Man Shot to Death

Prince George's County Police are searching for three men, two with dreadlocks. A $25,000 reward is offered for tips that lead to arrests.

Three men are being sought after Devante Marcus King died from multiple gunshot wounds in Bowie in the year’s first homicide, according to several media reports.

The 18-year-old victim lived on Eighth Street in Bowie. A reward of up to $25,000 is being offered for information that leads to an arrest and indictment in this case, police say.

On June 4, 2015, at about 1:15 am, patrol officers with the City of Bowie Police Department were called to the 13000 block of 6th Street for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found King suffering from gunshot wounds. He died of his injuries several hours later.

Prince George’s County Polcie do not believe this was a random act. Investigators are working to identify the suspect(s) and motive in this case.

King was found in a backyard in the 13000 block of 6th Street in Old Bowie after 1 a.m. Thursday, according to WTOP.

Bowie Police found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was taken to Prince George’s County Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead.

Authorities are searching for three suspects in the case. They are described as black men, one of the suspects is about 6’ 3” and weighs 200 pounds with dreadlocks; a second is 5’8” and 170 pounds with dreadlocks; and the third was dressed all in black.

Complicating the investigation was an alleged drunk driver, who reportedly drove through the crime scene tape and hit a patrol car, reports WUSA. The driver and her vehicle have been removed from the scene.

Prince George’s County police are leading the homicide investigation.
