Prince George's Police Investigating Car Crash After Man Dies Nearly 1 Month Later

An Upper Marlboro man has died nearly 1 month after being injured in a car crash. Police are investigating the 2-car collision.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An Upper Marlboro man involved in a July 2 car crash died of his injuries July 9. The Prince George's County Police Department learned of his death Aug. 1 and has opened an investigation into the now-fatal crash.

The incident happened around 10:40 a.m. in the area of Martin Luther King Jr. Highway and Annapolis Road in Lanham. Douglas Roeser, 50, was taken to the hospital while the other driver and a passenger in her car suffered minor injuries, according to the police department.

A preliminary investigation indicated that Roeser's vehicle and a second vehicle collided at that intersection. Anyone with information about this case is asked to call the collision analysis and reconstruction unit at 301-731-4422.
