Police Officers, Firefighters, EMTs Sought For City Of Bowie
The city of Bowie seeks police officers and volunteer firefighters/EMTs to join the ranks. A $9K signing bonus is available to new officers.
BOWIE, MD — The Bowie Police Department currently is offering a $500 referral incentive to anyone who refers a candidate to the agency who's hired and a $9,000 signing bonus for new hires.
“Now more than ever, it is vital for the Bowie community to be part of the process of shaping the way it is served. To encourage that involvement, we are offering a $500 incentive to anyone (yes, anyone) who refers a successful police candidate to us," Bowie Police Chief John Nesky said.

The Bowie Volunteer Fire Department and Rescue Squad, Inc. also is actively recruiting people interested in serving the city of Bowie and surrounding areas as volunteer firefighters or emergency medical technicians.
Men and women ages 16 and older who are in good physical condition and have an interest in responding to fire and/or medical emergencies are encouraged to seek membership. Individuals who do not want to respond to emergencies can enter the department as an auxiliary member who can help in the areas of fundraising, public relations, public education and administrative assistance.
