Pope Visit 2015: Expect School Bus Delays Caused By Flights In, Out of Joint Base Andrews
One Prince George's County Public School will dismiss early Tuesday; traffic congestion could delay student pick-ups and drop-offs.
A reminder to parents that Pope Francis will fly in and out of Andrews Air Force Base in Prince George’s County during his visit to the United States, which means some traffic snags for Prince George’s County Public Schools buses.
The school system sent an email blast to parents reminding them the pontiff is expected to arrive in the area at 4 p.m. Tuesday and depart at 4 p.m. Thursday.

Parents need to know:
- There is a possibility for traffic congestion and road closures on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons. School buses may be delayed at pick-up and drop-off.
- Imagine Andrews Public Charter School and Imagine Foundations at Morningside Public Charter School ONLY will dismiss two hours early on Tuesday, Sept. 22.
