Schools Set Last Day of Class After Snow Waiver Granted
Maryland officials have approved a waiver request by the Prince George's County Public Schools. So when is the last day of school?

The existing 2015-2016 school calendar had built in four snow days: June 15, 16, 17, and 20. And the district converted the Feb. 12 professional development day to an instructional day for students to offset one of the snow days.
To keep the school year from eating further into the summer, county schools Chief Executive Officer Dr. Kevin M. Maxwell sought a two-day waiver from the Maryland State Board of Education, which was granted on March 22.

As a result, Monday, June 20 is the last day for students, with schools dismissing two hours early. Tuesday, June 21, is the last day for teachers.
There is also a two-hour dismissal for students on Friday, June 17.
Those end dates could change if there are additional emergency closures before the end of the school year, officials said.
