Second Arrest Made in Suitland Homicide: Police
A District of Columbia man was arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting of a Suitland man.

A Washington, D.C., man is the second suspect to be arrested on a first-degree murder charge in the shooting death of a Suitland man, police said Friday.
Davonte Denzel McKissick, 20, of the 400 block of Mellon Street in Southeast Washington was arrested Thursday night in the District, according to Prince George’s County Police.
McKissick is in custody in D.C. awaiting extradition to Prince George’s County on the murder charge.

On Thursday, police announced the arrest of Jawaun Anthony Nelson, 19, of the 6100 block of Hil Mar Drive in District Heights in connection with the death of Jamal Allen, 20, of Suitland. Nelson was arrested Wednesday night in the District.
Police were called Jan. 11 to a shooting in the 2700 block of Sweetwater Court in Suitland. When they arrived, officers found Allen inside a car suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

Detectives do not believe this was a random act.
