Semi Crashes Into Ambulance At The Scene Of An Accident Injuring Two Firefighters

Two Prince George's firefighters were injured while working the scene of an accident when a semi crashed into them and other vehicles.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — An ambulance and other vehicles were hit by a semi Thursday shortly after 9 p.m. on the inner loop of the Capital Beltway/Route 210. Two firefighters were injured in the crash.

Prince George's Fire Department paramedic ambulance 821 out of Oxon Hill was at the scene of an accident when a tractor-trailer came upon the scene at a high rate of speed and hit the vehicles, according to the Prince George's Fire Department.

The two firefighters sitting in the ambulance when it was hit were injured and taken by another ambulance to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, the fire department noted on its Facebook page.
