Silver Spring Woman Dies in One-Car Crash
Maryland State Police are investigating the fatal single-vehicle crash in Landover.

COLLEGE PARK, MD – A Silver Spring woman died in a one-vehicle crash Monday in Landover, according to Maryland State Police.
Shortly before 4 p.m. Monday, the crash was reported on westbound route 50 at 410 (Veterans Highway) in Landover. A 2012 Dodge Avenger had overturned on the right shoulder.
The driver and sole occupant of the car is identified as Denise Lashawn Cook , 43, of Silver Spring. Cook was taken to Prince George’s Hospital, where she was pronounced dead.

There was no indication of impairment at the time of this investigation. Police say traffic was light and it was raining at the time of the crash.
