6 Teens Arrested For Armed Carjackings Had Ghost Guns: Prince George's Police
Six teens have been arrested for armed carjackings and having ghost guns, according to the Prince George's Police Department.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Six teens have been charged in connection with two recent carjacking cases. During their arrests, officers found three loaded ghost guns, meaning they did not have serial numbers.
On April 2 at approximately 1:30 pm, officers responded to a call about an attempted armed carjacking in the 1900 block of County Road in District Heights. Officers saw two suspects running from the scene and after a short chase, they arrested a 17-year-old male from Temple Hills and a 16-year-old male from Fort Washington. Both teens had a loaded ghost gun and have been charged as adults with attempted armed carjacking and firearms offenses, according to the Prince George's Police Department.

In a separate case, on March 30, members of the PGPD’s Washington Area Vehicle Enforcement team found a carjacked vehicle in the area of Addison Road and Central Avenue. The vehicle had been carjacked at gunpoint three days earlier in the 7500 block of Marlboro Pike in Forestville.
The officers stopped the vehicle and arrested the four teens inside. A loaded ghost gun was found in the vehicle and the suspects – all 15-year-old males from Washington, D.C., have been charged as juveniles with unauthorized use of a vehicle and possession of a firearm, according to the Prince George's Police Department.

So far in 2023, 32 juveniles and 19 adults have been charged in connection with carjacking cases.
