Station Employees Help Woman In Throes Of Giving Birth On Metro Train
A woman ended up giving birth on a train at the New Carrollton Metro station with employees by her side during the ordeal.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Three individuals cleaning the New Carrollton Metro station July 13 were momentarily confused when a stranger asked for a cart or a crate.
Latasha Bostic asked what for and the person said, "There's a lady on the train; she's about to give birth." Bostic stalled the train and alerted the station manager who called 911, reports WTOP. Then she and co-workers José Flores and Thomas Adams donned personal protective equipment and towels, then boarded the train to help the woman until first responders arrived.
However, the baby had other plans. Before emergency workers could arrive, the baby made his presence known. Paramedics transported mom and baby to the hospital.
