Jaws Of Life Used To Rob ATMs, Suspect Sought By Police
Police are searching for a man accused of using the rescue tools known as the jaws of life to break into several ATMs. He has been indicted.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — The suspect linked to multiple ATM robberies where he used jaws of life emergency rescue tools to break into the machines has been indicted.
A Prince George’s County grand jury indicted 31-year-old Stefon Janey, whose last known address was in Accokeek. A warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Janey has been connected to eight robberies at multiple locations across Prince George’s County earlier this year that includes convenience stores in the 8600 block of Baltimore Avenue and the 8200 block of Martin Luther King Junior Highway.

In each case, the group of suspects, including Janey, used hydraulic rescue tools commonly known as the jaws of life to break open the stores’ ATMs and steal thousands of dollars, according to Prince George's Police.
Additional charges against Janey are likely and a reward of up to $10,000 has been offered for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the additional suspects.
