SUV Driver Sought Who Fled Pedestrian Accident

Prince George's County Police say a SUV struck and critically injured a man walking on Annapolis Road in West Lanham Hills.

HYATTSVILLE, MD — Authorities hope the public can help identify a vehicle and driver that struck, and critically injured, a pedestrian in West Lanham Hills Wednesday night.

The Prince George’s County Police Department’s on Thursday released photos of a side mirror broken off the SUV during the hit-and-run, and an image of the type of vehicle believed to have been involved. Investigators say the right-side mirror broke off the SUV at the scene in the 7600 block of Annapolis Road about 8:30 p.m.

It appears the vehicle was eastbound on Annapolis Road when it struck a man who was walking in the roadway. The driver did not stop.

Police say the SUV is a 2003-2005 silver Ford Expedition or Lincoln Navigator.
