Teacher Found Dead Inside Classroom: Prince George's County Police
A Prince George's County Public Schools teacher was found dead in her classroom Wednesday night.
PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A popular teacher at Prince George's County Public Schools was found dead inside High Point High School on Powder Mill Road in Beltsville Wednesday evening.
According to Prince George's County Police, the body of 57-year-old Cheryl Mitchell was discovered at 7:15 p.m. in her classroom.
At this time, police do not suspect foul play.

A school district spokesperson told WJLA that Mitchell was "known as a strong student advocate who respected and supported diversity."
According to the school website, Mitchell was a social studies teacher at High Point High School.
