Teen, D.C. Man Fatally Shot In Separate Cases: Prince George's County Police

A 17-year-old Suitland boy and a 31-year-old Washington, D.C., man were fatally shot in separate incidents, reports Prince George's Police.

PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — A teenager from Suitland and a 31-year-old from Washington, D.C., were fatally shot in two separate incidents recently. A reward of up to $25,000 has been offered for information leading to an arrest and indictment in both cases.

On Feb. 26 at about noon, officers responded to the 3700 block of Dunlap Street in Temple Hills for a shooting. Police officers found Omar Smith of Washington, D.C., with gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene, according to the Prince George's County Police Department.

The 17-year-old boy from Suitland was found shot in an apartment building in the 6700 block of Alpine Street in District Heights Feb. 23 at about 6:55 p.m. He was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead a few hours later, the police department reported.
