Toddler Dies After Bowie Shooting: Police
A toddler died after he was shot earlier this week in Bowie, police said. He was previously in critical condition, officers added.

BOWIE, MD — Police said a 3-year-old boy died after he was shot in Bowie on Monday evening. Officers announced his death Wednesday morning. Authorities did not identify the victim, but they explained that he was previously in critical condition.
An incident report indicated that police heard word of unknown trouble in the 16400 block of Governors Bridge Road around 6:15 p.m. Officers noted that they found the wounded child upon arrival. It is not clear who pulled the trigger or if it was intentional.
The homicide unit of the Prince George's County Police Department will handle the investigation, the write-up advised. This is normal protocol for serious gun crimes committed in the City of Bowie.
