USA Warriors Play Season Opener at Bowie Ice Arena

The Bowie Hockey Club will host the USA Warriors Standing Ice Hockey Team at their annual Open House event event on Saturday September 19, 2015 at the Bowie Ice Arena. The Warriors will go head-to-head against the Bowie Bruin Coaches in the Warriors’ Season Opener. The game will start at 3:00pm. The public is invited to attend the event to cheer on the Warriors, heroes who have served and were wounded in defense of the United States.

Present and past U.S. military personnel will be invited to stand for recognition. Donations will be accepted on behalf of the USA Warriors and items, including a Washington Capitals’ team-signed stick, will be raffled off during the game with funds directly benefitting the USA Warriors’ program.

“The program educates, trains, motivates, and encourages the formation of USA Warrior hockey programs locally and nationally while encouraging individuals who have physical disabilities incurred during service to the United States to participate in the sport of ice hockey in an environment that is adapted to the level of their ability.”
