PRINCE GEORGE'S COUNTY, MD — Residents who use Verizon wireless service can again reach Prince George’s County 911, officials said Friday afternoon. The regional 911 service disruption has been resolved by Verizon.

Verizon Wireless customers should call 911 in the event of an emergency, a county alert said.

The Prince George's Office of Homeland Security/Public Safety Communication reported Friday morning that it experienced Verizon wireless issues.

During the outage, Verizon customers in Prince George’s County who had difficulties reaching 9-1-1, were told to call (301) 352-1215 or use text to 9-1-1.

Only Verizon customers were affected by the service interruption. Prince George’s County 9-1-1 worked with regional 9-1-1 centers and Verizon to diagnose the issue.
